Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the Flora Park
Maintenance Building Waterproofing Project was awarded on June 11 , 2018, to Drew
Cook & Sons Excavating Co., Inc., in the base bid amount of$23,400.
Leisure Services Manager Marie Ware recommends that the award for the Flora Park
Maintenance Building Waterproofing Project be officially recorded in the minutes of the
City Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

The Flora Park Maintenance Building Waterproofing Project involves the exterior
waterproofing of the below grade foundation walls and placement of drain tile around
the existing Flora Park maintenance building and restroom.
MSA Professional Services Inc., prepared an RFP for the project. Bids were received
on June 7t", 2018. Bid results are as follows:

Drew Cook & Sons Excavating Co. Inc. $23,400.00
Mainline Excavating Co. Inc. $29,647.00
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, this project was
awarded to Drew Cook & Sons Excavating Co. Inc. of Dubuque, lowa on June 11tn
2018, in the base bid amount of$23,400.
The project is funded as follows:

In accordance with the competitive quotation requirements of lowa Code, Section 26.14,
it is necessary that the award for the Creek Wood Park Project be officially recorded in
