SUBJECT: John F. Kennedy Concrete Panel Replacement Project
DATE: June 26, 2018
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the John F.
Kennedy Concrete Panel Replacement Project was awarded on June 19, 2018, to Drew
Cook & Sons Excavating Co., Inc., in the amount of$57,717.50.
City Engineer Gus Psihoyos recommends that the award for the John F. Kennedy
Concrete Panel Replacement Project be officially recorded in the minutes of the City
Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

RE: John F. Kennedy Concrete Panel Replacement Project
The John F. Kennedy Concrete Panel Replacement Project will provide for the removal
and replacement of 433 square yards of concrete pavement, associated curb and the
resetting of a storm water intake grates. The project location is near 1555 John F. Kennedy
Road
The following is a summary of bids received for the John F. Kennedy Concrete Panel
Replacement Project:
Contractor Base Bid
Drew Cook & Sons Excavating $57,717.50
Midwest Concrete, Inc. $65,850.00
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, this project was
awarded on June 19, 2018 to Drew Cook & Sons Excavating of Dubuque, lowa, in the
base bid amount of $57,717.50.
The funding for this project will be distributed from the CIP's as identified below:
