Van Milligen, City Manager SUBJECT: Bowling & Beyond Site — Asbestos Abatement Project CIP #3601053 and #3501053 DATE: July 10, 2018 The City plans to bid the deconstruction of the existing structure at the Bowling & Beyond site in order to prepare the site for future redevelopment. The building deconstruction project will be completed over two stages. The first stage involves the abatement of all asbestos and hazardous materials from the property. The second stage involves deconstruction of the existing building later this fall. Project Manager Steve Sampson Brown recommends initiation of the public bidding procedure for the Bowling & Beyond Site — Asbestos Abatement Project, and further recommends that a public hearing be set for August 6, 2018.
