Ms. Maloney called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m.
Acceptance of the Agenda
Upon a motion by Sr. Hoverman, seconded by Mr. Vincent, the agenda was accepted unanimously.
Approval of the Minutes of the October 6 , 2009, Meeting
Upon a motion by Mr. Vincent, seconded by Ms. Tigges, the Minutes of the October 6, 2009, Meeting
were approved unanimously.
Public Comment
There was no public comment.
Mediacom Digital Changes
Mr. Nowack discussed the pending channel changes that Mediacom is making in their gradual
transition away from analog television. He learned this morning that there are additional changes
coming and that all the changes will be delayed a week. Now the changes are scheduled to occur on
or about December 8, 2009.
Mediacom Cable Report
Mr. Barefoot reported that the equipment Mediacom ordered for its Connections channel has arrived.
This includes new cameras and a Tricaster. One of the shows he will be doing is Mediacom News
Leaders. These short segments will air on CNN Headline News and the Connections channel.
Cable TV Report
Mr. Nowack reported that the closed captioning troubles he experienced on Mediacom's digital
version of CityChannel 8 has been resolved. This morning Darin Dean found the problem and the
one program captioned on the City's channel now airs properly on the digital channel. Captioning of
CityChannel programming is an improvement package for the FY11 Cable TV budget. Mr. Nowack
discussed some of the recently completed programs that have been completed and some upcoming
projects. He also discussed some time lapse projects that are being undertaken and considered.
