Government Body: CITY OF DUBUQUE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
Date: July 31, 2018
Time: 1:30 PM
Place of Meeting: City Hall, Conference Room A, 50 W. 13th St.
Present: Commissioners Dan White, Phil Baskerville, Christian Stillings
Also present: Randy Peck, Laura Carstens
1. Approval of minutes from the July 26, 2018 meeting. Motion by Stillings to approve the minutes as
submitted. Second by White. Motion carried 2-1 with Commissioner Baskerville abstaining for
having not attended the July 26, 2018 meeting.
2. Recertify the list for the position of Assistant Planner. A passing score was set and a list certified
at the July 26, 2018 meeting. After the meeting had adjourned, it was discovered that the list was
for a different position. The correct list was presented at the July 31, 2018 meeting, a motion was
made by Stillings to set a passing score of 69 (69%) and above correct answers and to recertify
the correct list as read for 1 (one) year. Second by White. Motion carried 3-0.
3. Adjournment. Motion by Baskerville to adjourn at 1:43 PM. Second by White. Motion carried 3-0.
