SUBJECT: Right of Way Management Technician
DATE: September 12, 2018
City Engineer Gus Psihoyos is requesting that the vacant Engineering Assistant II
position in the Engineering Department be reclassified as a Right of Way Management
Technician. This position would be compensated at the same rate of pay as the
Engineering Assistant II position.
Personnel Manager Randy Peck recommends the City Council eliminate one
Engineering Assistant II position and create one Right of Way Management Technician
position in the Engineering Department.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

City Engineer Gus Psihoyos is requesfiing that the vacant Engineering Assistant II
position in the Engineering Department be reclassified as a Right of Way Management
Technician to better meet their needs. This position would be compensated at the same
rate of pay as the Engineering Assisfiant II position. This would be a separate Civil
Service classification. The requested action is for the City Council to approve a motion
eliminating one Engineering Assistant II position and creating one Right of Way
Management Technician position in the Engineering Department.
