oper�tional revenue and expendit�re r�por�s. Henricks reported
� that �1ur�e�mark�d �he end of Fis��l Year 201$. Ex�enses car�e in
under budg�t by ne�arly 5%, or $168,739.00. Some carry ov�r
r�quests for the operating b�dget will be r�q�est�d ar�d if
appr�v�d, t�is figure will decr�ase some. R�venue came ir� at
3% over projections, or $3,543.00. Overall, it was an excellent
�udget year and the 1�t" consecuti�e year t�at t�e librar� came
under budget. ,
2) Library Use Statist�cs — �lenricks repor�ed the number of �
che�kouts in �une was ver�r close t� the same time last year;
how�ver, year-to-dat� shows overall cir�culations were dowr� 4%.

Data base use was down �r� general w�th a few nota ble except�ons.
The Gale Database collection increased in use by 423%, and
Morn i ngsta r Ir�vestments ended the yea r with a n 81% i ncr��se
over 2017. R�fi USA realized 69% growth and Tutor.com use
increased �42%. �"he Teiegraph.Herald (TH) A�chives continues t�o '�
be t�e n�ost popular d�tabase and realized a 60% increase in �
� searches compared t� last year and an 83% increase in the ;
number of issues that have been viewed. ;

Henricks reported on the Open Access use comparison statistics � `

for FY-17 to FY-18 between the Coun�y Library District and C�SPL. �

There has been an 8.6% increase of Dubuque citizens checking ±

The Bike Library has been a success and has received positive �

publicity in the media. It debuted �une 11 and went to 11 �

locations. Through �uly 1� the bike libra�ry visited 12 loc�tions.
� Checkouts from the bike library totaled 285.
3) Fine Free Updat�e - The Mcdonough Foundation granted�$2,000 to
� . help fill the rev�nue g�p caused by the six-month fine fr�e
experiment. � �

t�e June camp�ign which indicat�s t��t the campaign has been
succes�ful. . �
Ira the report, Red ��kk staff appear�to ass�ciate a 41% increase
in circulation over last month with the campaign with the Board. A .
more accurate assessment can be made by conlparing June
2018toJuneof2017.
T�ae June campaign f�atured a $400+ prize giveaway for �
� interacting with C-SPL. Incr°eases in Facebook, Twitter,
Instagrarn, sign-up for newsletters, Overdrive, Fr�egal, Flipst�r, .
and web visits should be the result.
