Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the 30�h Street to
Leibe Street Sanitary Sewer Reconstruction Project was awarded on November 20,
2018, to Temperley Excavating, Inc., in the base bid amount of$69,568.50.
City Engineer Gus Psihoyos recommends that the award for the 30�h Street to Leibe
Street Sanitary Sewer Reconstruction Project be officially recorded in the minutes of the
City Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

RE: 30'f' Strect to Leibe Street Sanitary Sewer Reconstruction Project
INTRODUCTION
The 30tr' Street to Leibe Street Sanitary Sewer Reconstruction Project will provide for the
replac�ment of an estimated 850 feet of 8-inch diameter clay pipe with �3-inch PVC running
through the former H & W site. This project is being constructed per the Consent Decr�e
USEPA approved Corrective Action Plan for Sewershed 10.
DISCUSSION
This project will reroutE an �xisting sanitary sewer main that currently runs underneath
the Dubuque Malfiing and Brewing Company (H&W) building at 30�r, �nd Jackson Street.
The sewer main will bE rerouted to an alignment between the Dubuque M�Iting and
Brewing Company and Dubuque Stamping and Manufacturing buildings. The project is
intended to relocate the sewer to alleviate thE current inflow and infiltration issues under
and in the vicinity of the Dubuque Malting and Brewing building.
