Five Flags Civic Center Advisory Commission Meeting

OTHERS PRESENT: Marie Ware, one member of public, name not collected
MINUTES Commissioner Bakke motioned and Commissioner Huff seconded, to approve the
APPROVED; minutes of the November 26, 2018 meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
VOTE:
PUBLIC No public comment given at meeting.
COMMENT:
NEW BUSINESS: No new business at this time.
Five Flags Marie Ware recapped Phase II of the study to bring commissioners up to date.
Expanded / General Manager Cook, then guided commissioners through the summry packet
Improved Phase II distributed at the meeting.
Summary review,
Recommendations Commissioner Bakke asked the impact on Ecumenical towers. Cook discussed there
would be no impact on the building or space, and we would continue the conversation
with them if items move forward.
Commissioner Blau ask what the next steps from City council would be if
Commission recommends to file and receive the report. Ware discussed that council
could respond in many ways, the timeline that was distributed was created for
council, but they may choose to create a new timeline.
Commissioner Huff asked specific questions in regards to the parking information.
Commissioners agreed that the summary had very specific information that was
complete. One question from Huff was not available, and Cook or Ware will go to
CSL for the answer.
After the discussion of summary, Commissioner Daugherty motioned the
Commission recommend to City Council to file and receive the Phase 2 planning for
Expanded/Improved Five Flags Civic Center. Commissioner Bakke seconded, the
motion passed unanimously.
OTHER BUSINESS:
ADJURN; Motion to adjourn was made by Commissioner Huff, seconded by Commissioner
VOTE: Bakke. The motion passed unanimously.
NEXT MEETING: Next bi-monthly meeting held Monday January 28, 2019. Five Flags staff will send
an email 3-5 day before to remind commissioners of the meeting
