RE: Platinum Holdings, LLC vs. Board of Review of the City of Dubuque
2018 Property Tax Appeal
lowa District Court Case No. EQCV107688
Platinum Holdings, LLC, the owner of the Grand Harbor Hotel and Waterpark, filed a
protest to the Board of Review from the January 1, 2018 assessed value of the property,
which was $13,500,000. Platinum claimed the assessed value should be $7,425,000.
The Board of Review denied the protest and Platinum appealed to the District Court.
Platinum has dismissed its appeal at no cost to the taxing bodies. The 2018 assessed
value will remain at $13,500,000.
