The motion passed unanimously. VOTE: PUBLIC No public comment given at meeting. COMMENT: DEPARTMENT Director of Finance [Don Howes], Marketing Coordinator [Kelly Spreitzer], and REPORTS: Director of Events and Operations [Shaun Rice] gave reports based on information in Commission packet. General Manager [HR Cook] discussed the initial ideas for the 40'h Anniversary PR campaign and concert announcement. Commissioner Bakke recommended putting together an event to invite the past commissioners and directors to attend and keep them aware of the expansion project and how they could also be voices in the community for support the project. NEW BUSINESS: No new business at this time. Five Flags Marie Ware presented the Five Flags Center Budget packet for Commissioners to Expansion / review. This budget packet is the City Managers recommendations to city council of Improvement projects outside of the Five Flags operating budget, such as CIP items and some recommendations to reviewthe scenario 2 and 3 costs for Five Flags improvement. General Manager [HR Cook] made the commission aware that this packet only recommended the Elevator upgrades to be compliant with regulations. The requests for walk through metal detectors and a Point-of-Sales system for concessions were not included in the recommendation. After discussion Commissioner Parks made a motion that Commissioner chair Blau represent the commission at the Budget review meeting and request support for the walkthrough metal detectors and POS system for the building. Commissioner Daugherty seconded. The motion passed unanimously. The Leisure Service Budget review is scheduled for Thursday February 21, 2019 beginning at 6:OOpm. Marie Ware reported that he city council had not made any movements to continue the discussion of the expansion or improvement at this time. The recommendations in the packet could bring some movement on the project. OTHER BUSINESS: ADJURN; Motion to adjourn was made by Commissioner Bakke, seconded by Commissioner VOTE: Parks. The motion passed unanimously. NEXT MEETING: Next bi-monthly meeting held Monday March 25, 2019. Five Flags staff will send an email 3-5 day before to remind commissioners of the meeting
