RE: Residents and Neighbors Opposed to the Construction of Multi- Family Housing
on Oak Street
Dear Ms. Schneider:
I have been asked to serve as the spokesperson for the residents and neighbors opposing
the development of multi - family housing at the end of Oak Street, and we wish to be
added to the agenda to address the Dubuque City Council on Monday, February 15, 2010.
Our petition is attached to this letter.

Petition for the building of the Lots of
28, 29 &30 on Oak St
We do hereby oppose the construction of the building of any type of
duplexes. The duplexes will diminish the ve.lug our homes. We also feel
neglected in the process of Oak St having y zone and because of this it
seems unfair that we don't get a say in what gets built that could have the
potential of dropping the value of our homes.
A big issue that we have is what class of people are they going to rent
out to or don't the owners care as long as they are making money. We do
not want to have problems in our neighborhood like other parts of the town.
With the addition of the new building there will be more traffic and it
becomes a safety concern for our children in the neighborhood.
