Re: GDDC Board Membership for Terms Beginning July 1, 2019
Dear Rick,
This is in response to your April 26, 2019 letter requesting official notification of City of
Dubuque staff and Council membership on the GDDC Board of Directors for terms
beginning July 1, 2019. Members remain the same with the exception of Economic
Development Director Jill Connors who replaces Maurice Jones.
• Council Member Brett Shaw appointed by Council consensus January 7, 2019
• Council Member Luis Del Toro appointed by Council consensus January 7, 2019
• Mayor Buol is appointed by virtue of his elected position
• City Manager Mike Van Milligen is appointed by virtue of his position
• Economic Development Director Jill Connors appointed by the City Manager
At the first City Council meeting in January of each year, the City Council determines
changes to any of the memberships Council Members are appointed to for respective
terms expirations throughout the year.

Greater Dubuque DevelopmenYs By-Laws provide that the Mayor, City Manager, and City Economic Development
Directorshall be elected to serve on the Greater Dubuque Development Board of Directors. Our records indicate
thatyourterm,the Mayor'sterm and the Economic Development Directorsterm expireslune 30, 2019. Therefore,
Greater Dubuque needs to receive official notification that you, Roy Buol and lill Connors will continue to serve in
these capacities.
In addition,two members of the City Council shall be nominated bythe Council to serve on the Greater Dubuque
