SUBJECT: Grand River Center First Floor Concourse and Exhibit Hall Carpet
Replacement Project CIP 360-2113
DATE: June 25, 2019
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the Grand River
Center First Floor Concourse Carpet Replacement Project was awarded on June 25,
2019, to Floor Show Companies in the amount of$23,447. The bids for the Exhibit Hall
were rejected as they were over the budgeted amount available. The Exhibit Hall
Carpet Replacement is being rebid.
Leisure Services Manager Marie Ware recommends that the award for the Grand River
Center First Floor Concourse Carpet Replacement Project be officially recorded in the
minutes of the City Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

The Grand River Center First Floor Concourse Carpet Replacement Project will provide
for replacement of the carpet in the First Floor Concourse. The First Floor Concourse
carpet is on a replacement schedule and was in need of replacement.
The following is a summary of the bids received for the project:

Commercial Flooring $ 36,730.00 $176,885.00
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, this project was
awarded on June 25, 2019 to Floor Show Companies of Dubuque, lowa in the amount
of $23,447.00. The bids for the Exhibit Hall were rejected as they were over the
budgeted amount available. The Exhibit Hall Carpet Replacement is being rebid.
The project is funded as follows:
