COMMISSIONERS Nicholas Huff
ABSENT:
STAFF PRESENT: HR Cook, Shaun Rice
OTHERS PRESENT: Marie Ware
MINUTES Commissioner Parks motioned and Commissioner Bakke seconded, to approve the
APPROVED; minutes of the March 25, 2019 meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
VOTE:
PUBLIC No public comment given at meeting.
COMMENT:
COMMISSION Commissioners discussed the items they had prepared for their input to city council.
SUCCESS AND Marie Ware took notes and created final list of past year Successes and next year
GOALS INPUT TO Goals for the commission. Ware will submit to City Council as needed.
CITY COUNCIL:
DEPARTMENT General Manager [HR Cook] and Director of Events and Operations [Shaun Rice]
REPORTS: gave reports based on information in Commission packet.
General Manager [HR Cook] discussed the SMG management contract. The current
contract expires June 2019. Marie Ware, our city contract administrator, is
discussing management options with SMG and City leadership.
NEW BUSINESS: No new business at this time.
FIVE FLAGS No further report on expansion was given
EXPANSION /
IMPROVEMENT
OTHER BUSINESS: Commissioner Blau discussed that she would not be present for the next meeting on
July 29, 2019. Commissioners discussed that different Commissioner would lead that
meeting.
ADJURN; Motion to adjourn was made by Commissioner Bakke, seconded by Commissioner
VOTE: Parks. The motion passed unanimously.
NEXT MEETING: Next bi-monthly meeting held Monday July 29, 2019. Five Flags staff will send an
email 3-5 day before to remind commissioners of the meeting
