DATE: July 29, 2019
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the Grand River
Center Meeting Rooms Carpet Replacement Project was awarded on July 15, 2019, to
Commercial Flooring in the amount of $68,570.
Leisure Services Manager Marie Ware recommends that the award for the Grand River
Center Meeting Rooms Carpet Replacement Project be officially recorded in the
minutes of the City Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

The Grand River Center Meeting Rooms Carpet Replacement Project will provide for
replacement of the carpet in the Meeting Rooms. The Meeting Rooms carpet is on a
replacement schedule and was in need of replacement.
The following is a summary of the bids received for the project:

Floor Show Companies $68,856.00
Commercial Flooring $68,570.00
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, this project was
awarded on July 15, 2019 to Commercial Flooring of Dubuque, lowa in the amount of
$68,570.00.
The project is funded as follows:

In accordance with the competitive quotation requirements of lowa Code, Section 26.14,
it is necessary that the award for the Grand River Center Meeting Rooms Carpet
Replacement Project be officially recorded in the minutes of the City Council.
