Present: Commissioners Phil Baskerville, Dan White
Also present: Randy Peck, Mary Rose Corrigan, Arielle Swift, Mark Burkle, Jenny Larson
1. Approval of minutes from the July 2, 2019 meeting. Motion by Baskerville to approve the minutes
as submitted. Second by White. Motion carried 2-0.
2. Establish the passing score for the position of Animal Control Officer. Motion by White to set the
passing score of 30 (60%) and above correct answers and certify the list for the position of Animal
Control Officer as read for one (1) year. Second by Baskerville. Motion carried 2-0.
3. Establish the passing score for the position of Account Clerk I. Motion by White to set the passing
score of 35 (70%) and above correct answers and certify the list for the position of Account Clerk I as
read for one (1) year. Second by Baskerville. Motion carried 2-0.
4. Establish the passing score for the position of Plant Operator at the Water and Resource Recovery
Center. Motion by White to set the passing score of 36 (66.7%) and above correct answers and certify
the list for the position of Plant Operator at the Water Resource and Recovery Center as read for one (1)
year. Second by White. Motion carried 2-0.
5. Request to schedule an entrance examination for the position of Utility Worker. Motion by White to set
the application deadline for August 12, 2019 at 5 p.m. with an examination date of August 20, 2019.
Second by Baskerville. Commissioner White to proctor. Motion carried 2-0.
6. Request to schedule an entrance examination for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic. Motion by
White to set the examination date of October 26, 2019 and to accept the Candidate Physical Ability Tests
(CPAT) done outside of the Dubuque Fire Department location within the last 12 months at the
recommendation of Fire Chief Rick Steines. This change follows the rules of the CPAT program. Second
by Baskerville. Commissioner Baskerville to proctor. Motion carried 2-0.
7. Adjournment. Motion by White to adjourn at 4:23 p.m. Second by Baskerville. Motion carried 2-0.
