However, my assumption was totally wrong. Tschiggfrie excavating was replacing a pipe down the street from my home and broke a sewage pipe which in turn forced human waste (feces and urine) as well as 4-6 inches of sewage water throughout the lower level of our home. This sewage waste entered through every floor drain in our lower level. It came through our toilet, shower and our furnace. I walked desperately walked down to find out what was going on and to request that our water be turned of£ I was informed by Tschiggfrie that they had to wait for soineone from the "City Street Division" to come shut it off as Tschiggfrie did not have the authority to do so. At 4:OOpm Service Master arrived in our neighborhood to start the cleanup process, but they started with smaller jobs in the neighborhood due to the number of employees they would need to start the cleanup process at our house. At 5:30pm Service Master had to stop working due to Tschiggfrie hitting a gas line in our neighborhood. A few of our neighbors had to evacuate their homes. Black Hills Energy worked on the gas leak until well into the morning hours of July 3, 2019. I have attached photos of the mess that this created in our house along with the list of personal items that were a total loss. Some of these items were extremely sentimental and can never be replaced due to Tschiggfrie's incompetence in them doing their jobs. I have also requested quotes and bids from a contractor, Rick Schmitt, to see what it will take to get our home back to a safe and clean environment that we can live in. If you have questions or need further clarification regarding our concerns in order to process this claim, please feel free to contact me. Thank You, Russ & Chris Reed *Please note: On July 9, 2019 there was another gas leak due to Tschiggfrie working in our neighborhood. Copyrighted September 16, 2019 City of Dubuque Consent Items # 3.
