You and each of you are hereby notified that the City Development Board will, pursuant
to Iowa Code Section 368.7, hold a public hearing on the above captioned matter. The public
hearing is scheduled for April 14, 2010, at 11 a.m. via the ICN at the Iowa Department of
Economic Development, 200 East Grand Avenue, Des Moines, and Dubuque Downtown -
Northeast Iowa Community College, 700 Main Street, Dubuque, Iowa. If you would like to
participate in the public hearing via teleconference, please dial the toll free number
866 - 685 -1580; when prompted, enter conference code 5152424815 followed by #. You should
then be connected to the public hearing.
This hearing is being held pursuant to Iowa Code Section 368.7 concerning a proposal
for voluntary annexation of territory to the City of Asbury. This proposal contains some territory
without the consent of the owner. Such proposals require approval of 4 /5's of the City
Development Board after a public hearing. You are invited to attend this hearing to present
evidence for or against the proposed annexation.
