MINUTES
Government Body: CITY OF DUBUQUE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION

Place of Meeting: City Hall, Conference Room B, 50 W. 13t" St.
Present: Commissioners Phil Baskerville, Dan White
Also present: Jeremy Jensen, John Klostermann, Chris Kohlmann, Wally Wernimont, Laura
Carstens, Shelley Stickfort
1. Approval of minutes from the September 20, 2019 meeting. Motion by Baskerville to approve the
minutes as submitted. Second by White. Motion carried 2-0.
2. Request to schedule promotional examinations for the positions of Police Captain and Police
Corporal. Motion by Baskerville to set the examination date as December 12, 2019 at 6 p.m. as
recommended by Assistant Police Chief Jensen. Second by White. Motion carried 2-0.
3. Establish the passing score,for the position of Equipment Operator 11. Motion by White to set the
passing score of 42 (64.6%) and above correct answers and certify the list for the position of Equipment
Operator 11 as read for two (2) years. Second by Baskerville. Motion carried 2-0.
4. Establish the passing score for the position of Assistant Planner. Motion by White to set the passing
score of 63 (63%) and above correct answers and certify the list for the position of Assistant Planner as
read for one (1) year. Second by Baskerville. Motion carried 2-0.
5. Establish the passing score for the position of Lead Applications/Network Analyst. Motion by White to
set the passing score of 56 (70%) and above correct answers and certify the list for the position of Lead.
Applications/Network Analyst as read for one (1) year. Second by Baskerville. Motion carried 2-0.
6. Adjournment. Motion by Baskerville to adjourn at 2:48 p:m. Second by White. Motion carried 2-0.
