Call to Order The Dubuque Transit Advisory Board meeting was called to order by Esser, Board Chair at 4:30 pm. 2. Review/approve the aaenda for the Thursday. October 24, 2019 Transit Advisory Board meetina Motion by Daughters, second by Enderson to approve agenda The motion passed unanimously. 3. Review/approve the minutes from the Thursday.June 20,2019 Transit Advisory Board meetina Motion by Esser, second by Daughters to approve the minutes from the June Transit Advisory Board meeting. The motion passed unanimously. 4. Introduction and Oath of Office- Luanna Gerdemann This item was tabled until neat meeting. 5. General Public Comments & Service Requests Tyler introduced new staff, Harris-Davis and Ironside, to the board. Harris-Davis and Ironside each shared their backgrounds priar to working at The Jule. Tyler and Stecklein reported on the new route changes that went into effect on September 23, 2009. Stecklein indicated the new changes have eliminated previous delay concerns regarding the Orange Line. Overall there have been few complaints about the changes. Staff will continue to monitor complaints and any possible delays with the lines. 1 Tyler proposed an initiative to make The Jule buses "safe spaces"for individuals escaping from human trafficking or other abusive situations. Tyler cited a similar program she saw while visiting Dallas Area Rapid Transit that had been implemented there. The board approved of staff investigating this program further. Enderson suggested a more coordinated effort with the City of Dubuque to allow other departments to be also beinvolved. 6. Election of Officers This item was tabled until neat meeting when Gerdemann would be able to aYtend. 7. Ridership Report Ironside reported the ridership statistics for July through September 2019. 8. Board Comments Daughters asked if the recommended comment box had been installed in the Intermodal Center lobby yet. Esser inquired about having ADA signage in Spanish posted on buses. Tyler informed the board that a request for proposals went out for a new automated fare collection system and demand response system. 9. Next Meeting The neat meeting will be held Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 4:30pm at the Intermodal Conference Room. 10. Adiournment Motion by Daughters to adjourn, second by Enderson.
