Meeting Minutes of October 24, 2019
The Board of Trustees of the Carnegie-Stout Public Library (C-SPL) met in the Lacy
Board Room at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2019.
Present.• Board President Christy Monk; Vice President Pam Mullin; Board i
Secretary Rosemary Kramer; Trustee Robert Armstrong; Trustee
Victor Lieberman; Trustee Patty Poggemiller; Director, Susan
Henricks and Secretary Denette Kellogg.
Excused: Trustee Greg Gorton
1. President Monk called the meeting to order at 4:02 p.m.

— The Board reviewed the Communication with the Dubuque City Council
for September, 2019.

books arriving this week to replenish inventory partners. Turnout for �
the programs has been high and 15 formal book discussions are j
planned around the county. The final event ends with the authors �
of the All Community Reads book, Picking Cotton, at the Five Flags �
Theater on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. The Board commended �
Henricks on the planning and success of this program. �
5) Future Library Board of Trustees Meetings — Henricks reported that
the Board typically meets one week before the scheduled November
- and December meetings due to the holidays. The Board agreed to ',
hold these Board meetings on Thursday, November 21, 2019 and '
December 19, 2019. �
Henricks reported she will be attending the Public Library
Association Conference the week of February 27 during the
scheduled Board meeting. The Board agreed to hold February's
meeting on Thursday, February 20, 2019.
B. Comment Cards—The Board reviewed three comment cards received and
concurred with the staff responses provided.

ZI Budget, Library Use Statistics, Library App Update, All Community
Reads Update, Future Library Board of Trustees Meetings, and three
