Van Milligen, City Manager SUBJECT: Accept Deeds for Property Owned by Dubuque's True North Corporation DATE: January 15, 2020 Dubuque True North Corporation is shifting focus to the Commercial needs of the Northend Neighborhood, and therefore is shifting the residential purchase and rehabilitation component of the program to the City of Dubuque Housing & Community Development Department. To start the process of shifting the True North residential rehabilitation program over to Housing & Community Development Department, the property owned by Dubuque's True North Corporation needs to be transferred into the City's ownership to continue work on those properties. There are two properties that will remain with Dubuque's True North Corporation due to the imminent completion of the rehabilitation. Additionally, the home located at 389 E 22nd Street will remain with Dubuque's True North Corporation until Habitat for Humanity is able to take ownership. This property is too far deteriorated to rehabilitate, so Habitat for Humanity would like to deconstruct the current structure and build an affordable home on the lot.
