Property Damage
This is a claim in which claimant alleges that her refuse container was damaged by City
of Dubuque Operations & Maintenance employees during collection.
According to the report of Paul Schultz, Solid Waste Management Supervisor, Mr. Schultz
verified with the refuse crew that the refuse container was damaged in normal crew
handling. Mr. Schultz stated that the container was made of a less expensive, hard
plastic.
It is the recommendation of Paul Schultz to approve this claim for the amount of $13.00,
with the suggestion to the claimant to replace the container with one that is sturdy enough
for the heaw-duty application of solid waste handling. The Legal Department concurs with
this recommendation.
