Present: Mayor Buol; Council Members Ca- vanagh, Jones, Resnick, ,Roussell, Shaw, Sprank; City Manager Van M it ligen Mayor Buol read the call and Stated this is a special session of the ; City Council called for the purpose of con- ducting a work session on certain Fiscal Year 2021 Departmental Budgets. PUBLIC HEARINGS FISCAL YEAR 2021 DEPARTMENTAL BUDGET REVIEW Fiscal Year 2021 City departmental budgets were presented by staff from the following departments: 1: Health Services: Mary Rose Corrigan, Public Health Specialist; 2.'Human .Rights De- partment ,KellyLarson, Human Rights Director; Collins Eboh,,Organiza-. tidnal Equity Coordina= tor; and Temwa' Phiri, Community .;:Engage- ment Coordinator; 3. Carnegie -Stout Pub- lic Library: Susan Hen- ricks, library. Director; 4. Dubuque Regional Airport: Todd Daising, Airport Director; 5. Finance & Budget' Department: Jenny Lar- son, Director of Fi- nance and Budget. The presenters re- sponded to questions from the City Council following their respec tive presentations. Following the Human Rights Department pre- sentation„Human Rights Commission Member Jerry Hamel requested that funding for the Race in the Heartland conference be added to the department's bud- get request as it was inadvertently left out. The City Council reached consensus on reconsidering the fund- ing request at the final budget' hearing on March 26, 2020.
