WHEREAS,
the United States celebrates National Nursing Week each year from May
6th to May 12th; and
the International Council of Nurses leads the celebrations on International

this year's International Nurses Day them is "Nurses: A Voice to Lead —
Nursing the World to Health," could not be more appropriate and
demonstrates how nurses are central to addressing a wide range of health
challenges, including the current COVID-19 pandemic; and
we should all focus on the unique role of nurses and give thanks for their
selfless contribution, especially now in the struggle to respond to the
COVID-19 pandemic.
