The 2010 Hazard Mitigation Plan is an update of the original Hazard Mitigation Plan that
was approved by the City of Dubuque in 2004. The changes to the plan were mandated
by a five -year expiration window on the 2004 plan.
This plan will be submitted in draft form in April and then revised by ECIA if revisions
are suggested by FEMA. This plan is considered Part B of our Comprehensive
Emergency Management Plan and qualifies the City of Dubuque for Federal and State
Assistance in a disaster. After the public meeting the approved plan will be submitted to
the Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management Division for their approval
and then forwarded on to FEMA.
Thank you for your consideration on this plan.
