Van Milligen City Manager FROM: Mark Da�si Chief of Polic RE: DISCUSSION MEMORANDUM Liquor License Renewal for the following: • Dubuque Moose Lodge #355, 2635 Windsor Avenue • The Hub, 253 Main Street • Loras College Campus Center, 1450 Alta Vista • Lot One, 100 Main Street • Marco's Italian American Food, 2022 Central Avenue • West Dubuque Tap, 1701 Asbury Road INTRODUCTION The purpose of this memorandum is to recommend the annual renewal of the above liquor license establishments and to highlight the calls for service related to incidences of disturbances, crimes against persons, crimes against property, and public morals occurring at the business since the last liquor license renewal. BACKGROUND Regarding the listed establishments, the following is a summary of activity since their last renewal. The following key provides a brief description of those calls for service displaying four areas of concern. DUBUQUE MOOSE LODGE #355 (2635 WINDSOR AVENUE) Since the last renewal date there have been five calls for service to the establishment. Of those five calls there were no disturbances, no crimes against persons, no crimes against property, and no public morals calls. Additionally, there were no individual violations and no violations against the business. LORAS COLLEGE CAMPUS CENTER (1450 ALTA VISTA) Since the last renewal date there were no calls for service to the establishment. LOT ONE (100 MAIN STREET) Since the last renewal date there have been 32 calls for service to the establishment. Of those 32 calls there were three disturbances, three crimes against persons, one crime against property, and three public morals calls. Additionally, there were ten individual violations and one violation against the business. MARCOS ITALIAN AMERICAN FOOD (2022 CENTRAL AVENUE) Since the last renewal date there have been three calls for service to the establishment. Of those three calls there were no disturbances, one crime against persons, no crimes against property, and no public morals calls. Additionally, there were no individual violations and no violations against the business. DPD Case # 10 -8833 Type of Call /Circumstances Harassment Disposition Handled By Officer WEST DUBUQUE TAP (1701 ASBURY ROAD) Since the last renewal date there has been one call for service to the establishment. Of that one call there were no disturbances, no crimes against persons, no crimes against property, and no public morals calls. Additionally, there were no individual violations and no violations against the business. RECOMMENDATION Based upon a review of the above businesses, we would recommend approval of the Annual liquor license for Dubuque Moose Lodge #355, 2635 Windsor Avenue; The Hub, 253 Main Street; Loras College Campus Center, 1450 Alta Vista; Lot One, 100 Main Street; Marco's Italian American Food, 2022 Central Avenue and West Dubuque Tap, 1701 Asbury Road.
