Steger, Housing and Community Development Director SUBJECT: Accept Deeds for Property Owned by Dubuque's True North Corporation DATE: June 1, 2020 Background Dubuque True North Corporation is shifting focus to the Commercial needs of the Northend Neighborhood, and therefore is shifting the residential purchase and rehabilitation component of the program to the City of Dubuque Housing & Community Development Department (HCD). Discussion To start the process of shifting the True North residential rehabilitation program over to HCD, the property owned by Dubuque's True North Corporation needs to be transferred into the Cities ownership to continue work on those properties. The remaining two properties owned by Dubuque's True North Corporation that will be transferred to the City of Dubuque are: • 2033 Washington Street • 2320 Jackson Street Recommendation I respectfully request the City Council accept the above listed property deeds (2) from Dubuque's True North Corporation to continue the True North Residential Rehabilitation Program under the Housing & Community Development Department.
