Plat of Survey of Lot 1 and Lot 2 of 319 Ham's Addition
Randall J. Klauer has requested to pumhase Lot 2 of 319 of Ham's addition owned by
the City of Dubuque. Lot 319 needed to be subdivided in order to retain right-of-way for
the sidewalk area along Rhomberg at Hawthorne. The city will retain Lot 1 of 319 for
the sidewalk area.
Finance Director Ken TeKippe recommends City Council approval of the Plat of Survey
of Lot 1 and Lot 2 of 319 Ham's Addition.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

INTRODUCTION
Randall J. Klauer has requested to purchase Lot 2 of 319 of Ham's Addition owned by
the City of Dubuque. The lot size is approximately 50' x 127' and is located on the
corner of Rhomberg Avenue and Hawthorne Street and adjoins the Point Restaurant
property recently acquired by Mr. Klauer. Lot 319 needed to be subdivided in order to
retain right of way for the sidewalk area along Rhomberg at Hawthorne Lot 1 of 319 of
Ham's Addition will be retained by the City.
DISCUSSION
The attached plat of survey by IIW Engineers & Surveyors, P.C. indicates the area
proposed to be sold. The abutting property owner is Randall Klauer. Perpetual
easement rights will be retained for the existing sanitary sewer and water main utilities
as shown on the plat of survey.
RECOMMENDATION
The City has no plans for the utilization of Lot 2 of 319 Ham's Addition to be sold,
except for reserving the utility easements as noted.
I would recommend the approval of the attached resolution approving the Plat of Survey
of Lot 1 and Lot 2 of 319 Ham's Addition.

RESOLUTION APPROVING PLAT OF SURVEY OF LOT 1 AND LOT 2
OF 319 HAM'S ADDITION
Whereas, there has been presented to the City Council of the City of
Dubuque, Iowa, a plat dated June 2, 2003 prepared by IIW Engineers &
Surveyors, P.C. describing Lot 1 and Lot 2 of 319 Ham's Addition; and
Whereas, said plat conforms to the laws and statutes pertaining thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA:
Section 1. That the plat dated June 2, 2003 prepared by IIW Engineers
& Surveyors, P.C., relative to the real estate hereinabove described be and the
same is hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to execute said plat and on behalf of the City of
Dubuque, Iowa.
Section 2. That the City Clerk be and is hereby authorized and directed
to file said plat and certified copy of this resolution in the office of the Recorder, in
and for Dubuque County, Iowa.
