SUBJECT: 2020 Asphalt Overlay Access Ramp Project Three Section A and B
DATE: July 13, 2020
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the 2020 Asphalt
Overlay Access Ramp Project Three Section A and B was awarded on June 30, 2020,
to S&S Builders, in the bid amount of$70,980.53.
City Engineer Gus Psihoyos recommends that the award for the 2020 Asphalt Overlay
Access Ramp Project Three Section A and B be officially recorded in the minutes of the
City Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

RE: 2020 Asphalt Overlay Access Ramp Project Three Section A and B
The 2020 Asphalt Overlay Access Ramp Project Three Section A and B will provide for
the removal, realignment and reconstruction of corner access ramps in the area of Amy
Court, Marjorie Circle, Alicia Street, Donovan Drive, Cora Drive, Andrea Street. The project
will coincide with the Public Works Department Street Overlay Program.
The following is a summary of bids received for the 2020 Asphalt Overlay Access Ramp
Project Three Section A and B:

Tschiggfrie Excavating Co. $77,244.71
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, this project was
awarded on June 30, 2020 to S&S Builders of Dubuque, lowa, in the bid amount of
$70,980.53.
