CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA
CITY COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS
SPECIAL SESSION
The Dubuque City Council met in special session at 5:00 p.m. on June 29, 2020. Due
to the COVID-19 pandemic and mandates for social distancing, this meeting was
conducted virtually through GoToMeeting and aired live on CityChannel Dubuque
(Mediacom cable channels 8 and 117.2), streamed live on the city's website at
www.cityofdubuque.org/media, and streamed live on the City's Facebook page at
www.facebook.com/cityofdubuque.
Present: Mayor Buol; Council Members Cavanagh, Jones, Resnick, Roussell, Sprank;
City Manager Van Milligen, City Attorney Brumwell
Absent: Council Member Shaw
Mayor Buol read the call and stated this is a special session of the City Council called
for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on the lowa DOT Consolidated Funding
Application for Jule Transit
The City Clerk announced that due to the COVID-19 pandemic and mandates for social
distancing, public input was now available through GoToMeeting as posted on the agenda
in addition to City Council and City Clerk email accounts and the City of Dubuque's
Facebook Live page.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
1. lowa Department of Transportation Consolidated Funding Application for Jule
Transit: Proof of publication on notice of public hearing to consider approval of the lowa
Department of Transportation (IDOT) Consolidated Funding Application for Jule Transit,
and the City Manager recommending approval. Motion by Resnick to receive and file the
documents and adopt Resolution No. 188-20 Approval of Consolidated Funding
Application to lowa DOT. Seconded by Jones. City Clerk Kevin Firnstahl, Assistant City
Manager Cori Burbach, and Public Information Officer Randy Gehl stated that no public
input had been received through the virtual public input provisions. Motion carried 6-0.
There being no further business, Mayor Buol declared the meeting adjourned at 5:06
p.m.
