Proclamation_Public Service Employees 2010
PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association,
NARFE, Chapter 436 of Dubuque and all public service employees of
this city are recognizing May 3-7, 2010 as Public Service Employees
Recognition Week; and
WHEREAS, the employees of city, county and federal offices are employed to
serve the public in many varied capacities many of whom often
perform duties above and beyond what is expected; and
WHEREAS, we take for granted the services provided for the welfare of our
community by departments such as postal, fire, police, health, social
security, agriculture and public works; and
WHEREAS without the dedication to their jobs and the many years of service to
the public, the population of our city, county and country would be
minus many beneficial services.
NOW THEREFORE, I, ROY D. BUOL, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA, ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL, STAFF AND CITIZENS OF DUBUQUE, DO HEREBY
PROCLAIM THE WEEK OF MAY 3-7, 2010 AS
“PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYEES RECOGNITION WEEK”
IN THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA.
