SUBJECT: 2020 Asphalt Overlay Access Ramp Project 3B
DATE: September 1, 2020
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the 2020 Asphalt
Overlay Access Ramp Project 3B was awarded on August 26, 2020, to S&S Builders, in
the bid amount of$59,892.86.
City Engineer Gus Psihoyos recommends that the award for the 2020 Asphalt Overlay
Access Ramp Project 3B be officially recorded in the minutes of the City Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

RE: 2020 Asphalt Overlay Access Ramp Project 3B
The 2020 Asphalt Overlay Access Ramp Project 3B will provide for the removal,
realignment and reconstruction of corner access ramps in the area of Hillcrest Road,
Admiral Street and Aurora Street. The project will coincide with the Public Works
Department Street Overlay Program.
The following is a summary of bids received for the 2020 Asphalt Overlay Access Ramp
Project Three 3B:

Midwest Concrete, Inc. $66,600.39
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, this project was
awarded on August 26, 2020 to S&S Builders of Dubuque, lowa, in the bid amount of
$59,892.86.
