Black Lives Matter: Diversity, Equity &Inclusion-Part � I of II: City staff and network partners provided information and presentations to City Council in advance of the Council's ;i annual goal-setting scheduled for August 10-12 about the work � being planned and done in the community to improve the � experience of black and brown individuals in Dubuque. � City Manager Van Milligen gave opening remarks, read a Letter to the Editor of the Telegraph Herald newspaper from Gerald Smith from June 11, 2020 entitled "More Wlute Voices Would Help Bring Racial Equity." A video of the Solidarity � mural on the Five Flags Center was shown. Mr. Van Milligen � then read a letter from a citizen on how the mural had '� impacted the writer. � Assistant City Manager Cori Burbach introduced the work � session topics and presenters. ?
