SUBJECT: 2021 Asphalt Overlay Curb Ramp Project 2
DATE: March 8, 2021
Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the 2021 Asphalt
Overlay Curb Ramp Project 2 was awarded on March 5, 2021, to S&S Builders, in the
bid amount of $83,257, which was $9,824 below the engineer's estimate.
City Engineer Gus Psihoyos recommends that the award for the 2021 Asphalt Overlay
Curb Ramp Project 2 be officially recorded in the minutes of the City Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

The 2021 Asphalt Overlay Curb Ramp Project 2 will provide for the replacement of twenty-
three access ramps in conjunction with the Public Works asphalt overlay program. The
areas include:
Lombard Street at Jenni Street, two single ramps.
Lombard Street at Stetmore Street, two single and one double ramps.
Lombard Street at Meadow Lane, two single ramps.
Ungs Street at Clarke Drive, two single ramps.
Ungs Street at Hoyt Street, two single ramps.
Ungs Street at N. Grandview Avenue, two single ramps.
Lincoln Avenue at Rhomberg Avenue, two single ramps.
Lincoln Avenue at Sumner Street, two single ramps.
Lincoln Avenue at Hawthorne Street, two single ramps.
Roosevelt Street at Rhomberg Avenue, one single and one double ramps.
The following is a summary of bids received for the 2021 Asphalt Overlay Curb Ramp

engineer's estimate.
