The order for the posts and display cases has been placed. • The new van has been delivered and is at the city garage. Graphics have been sent to McCullough Creative on the "Open"theme. McCullough is creating a new wrap for the van as well as the library's three material return drops. • The Library Foundation met on February 18 and agreed to fund the proposal for a self-guided art tour. This art tour will be an audio tour accessible through an app. • Freegal was advertised in January. Use increased and was higher than the previous four months use, and higher than all but four months when reviewing use year-to-date. • Fourteen applications were received for the library director position. Four candidates did not meet minimum qualifications. Six candidates were selected for a first interview. The Search/Interview Committee conducted interviews on February 19 and February 24 and three candidates were selected to move to the second round of interviews. From these interviews the committee will narrow the candidates to two finalists. Previously selected questions will be submitted to Human Resources, and when approved, the questions will be asked of the finalists in three different sessions representing all library employees, direct reports, and the community. The community interview will be recorded and posted on the library's website. Following all of these interviews the full Library Board of Trustees will interview the finalists and make a decision to recommend the hire of the next library director, or recommend extending the search, at their meeting on March 25. • The library's new web site was approved and will launch on March 1. The website represents a significant savings and offers greater flexibility in managing the presentation and access of information. • The Board of Trustees approved updated policies for: volunteers, children unaccompanied by an adult, homebound service, social media comments, patron behavior, bulletin board, leaflet, and exhibit policy, equipment loan policy, and patron behavior policy.
