** NOTE **
When the Extension of Time request was acted on by the Board
on October !5~ 2002 for Case #02-00623, the Board failed to
specifically act on the basement exterior stairs to the
cellar exit from the basement. The owner, Peter Eck, is of
the opinion that it was granted and that the Board did
~ee~ ~u~k ~s stal~¢~ay at +~ ~+~
Minutes from the August 20~ 2002 meeting do not specifically
reflect that the Board's intention was to grant an extension
of time for the exterior stairs leading to the cellar exit
from the basement.
THE FINDINGS OF THE BOARD ON APRIL 29, 2003 WERE:
ED SWIFT MOTIONED THAT THE EXTENSION OF TIME UNTIL JUNE 15,
2003 DID INCLUDE THE EXTERIOR STAIRS LEADING TO THE CELLAR
EXIT FROM THE BASEMENT.

The window is a double hung, 43" wide x 76" high.

was requested on this unit, but was denied. Please see the

Don Tuecke, owner of 504 Rhomberg Avenue, requested an
extension of time until May 1, 2003 to complete repairs. The
work will be started after the tenant moves out on the first
of the month. The owner plans to do some major remodeling in
this apartment.
Complaints as follows:
Kitchen faucets leak under handles.
Hole in floor from old floor vent in the bedroom.
Bedroom front outlet loose in opening and missing a cover.
Repair deteriorated baseboard behind toilet and clean up
peeling paint.
Repair spongy floor by shower stall.
Caulk or seal cracks in shower stall, floor gets wet.
Front door to unit not weather tight and rotten, should be
replaced.

Rear entrance door not weather tight.
Repair water leaks from upstairs and replace water-damaged

Bruce Heitz, owner of 1637 I0wa Street, is requesting a
variance on an outside handrail. The front porch steps are
deficient a handrail. The building was built !00 years ago.
Mr. Heitz feels the lack of the outiside handrail should
have been grand fathered in and would take away from the
appearance of the building.
This is a Section 8 Initial inspection.
Mr. Heitz could not attend this meeting and he asked that
this appeal be tabled until the next meeting.
