HILLCREST FAMILY SERVICES
MOBILE CRISIS OUTREACH
Mobile Crisis Outreach is 24/7/365 crisis response that is provided
within Dubuque County. We serve children, adults and families in
crisis.
Mobile crisis counselors will present in person within one hour of
calling the crisis line (Your Life Iowa helpline)
Mobile Crisis Outreach is intended to divert individuals from
unnecessary utilization of emergency departments and/or law
enforcement.

Anyone in Dubuque County experiencing a brain health crisis
WHAT DOES MOBILE CRISIS OUTREACH DO?
Crisis de-escalation & stabilization
Suicide screening & risk assessment
Safety planning
Transportation to the hospital
Linkage to community resources & supports
Coordinate follow-up care within 24-48 hours with a mental health
therapist (if needed)
Follow-up call within 24 hours

This service is funded by the MH/DS of the East Central Region
Data & outcomes collected every month and given to the ECR, and
shared with local stakeholders when requested
