Staff has invited partners to update City Council on their work as it relates to energy efficiency and environmental education. A presentation will be made by the following partners: 1. SUSTAINABLE DUBUQU vi-ab Ir M1 hv-a He 4 equitable Green Iowa AmeriCorps — Energy + Community *1 • Team consists of 5 members • 2 Audit Coordinator • 1 Outreach Coordinator • 1 Logistics Coordinator • 1 Education Coordinator • 11-month term beginning in September and ending in August • Overall Goal: Work as a team to provide energy audits to community members, plan education events and coordinator community outreach projects. • COVID-19 Impacts to Service Free Home Energy Audits First step in assessing how much energy a home consumes and evaluating what measures can be taken to make the home more efficient. Audits focus on the three C's • Cost • Comfort • Conservation 2 parts — walk through and the blower door test Weatherization • Windows: Permanent solutions such as caulking and sealing around the window frame, installing sash locks.
