Through the competitive quotation process for public improvements, the Chavenelle
Road Water Valve Project was awarded on June 3, 2021, to Drew Cook & Sons
Excavating Co., Inc., in the amount of $54,125.
City Engineer Gus Psihoyos recommends that the award for the Chavenelle Road
Water Valve Project be officially recorded in the minutes of the City Council.
I concur with the recommendation and respectfully request Mayor and City Council
approval.

The Chavenelle Road Water Valve Project will provide for the installation of two 16"
butterfly valves, installation of three 12" gate valves, and removal of an existing check
valve. This work is required to accommodate the added water flows for the Simmons Pet
Food facility and accommodate a future 4th pressure zone in the Chavenelle Road area.
