PIROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, August 10, 2021 will be the official dedication of the Miracle League of Dubuque
Complex located at Veterans Memorial Park; and
WHEREAS, Merlin and Mary Santjer, and Tom and Carol Witry and the entire Miracle League of
Dubuque Board displayed exceptional passion, vision and commitment to provide a
beautiful space for all community members regardless of abilities to play alongside their
peers; and
WHEREAS, private citizens, service clubs, organizations, foundations and businesses of the
community of Dubuque and the entire Tri-State area should be commended and
recognized for their generosity to the Miracle League Complex; and
WHEREAS, the pure joy and love for life radiating from the faces of those whom have and will
continue to utilize this inclusive and accessible space will be seen at the Complex for
many years to come.
NOW THEREFORE, I, ROY D. BUOL, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA, ON BEHALF
OF THE CITY COUNCIL, STAFF AND THE CITIZENS OF DUBUQUE, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM
THE TENTH OF AUGUST 2021 AS
"MIRACLE LEAGUE OF DUBUQUE DAY"
IN THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA AND FURTHER, I ENCOURAGE ANYONE INTERESTED TO
STOP BY THE DEDICATION EVENT ON AUGUST 10, 2021 FROM 10:00 AM TO NOON FOR THE
CERMONY FOLLOWED BY THE FIRST OFFICIAL BASEBALL GAME ON THE MIRACLE FIELD.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my
hand and caused the Great Seal of the City of
Dubuque to be affixed this 2nd day of August, 2021.
