Proclamation_Monarch Moments 2010
PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, Dubuque Alzheimer’s Association will present its third annual, non-profit
program, “Monarch Moments” on Sunday, July 25, 2010. This program
offers the families, friends, and individuals who are coping with
Alzheimer’s disease and dementias an opportunity to remember, to
celebrate life, and to heal; and
WHEREAS, a remembrance ceremony will be presented from 10:00 a.m.to noon at the
Dubuque Arboretum after which Monarch Butterflies will be released by
loved ones and friends to symbolize the beauty of life; and
WHEREAS, the Dubuque Alzheimer’s Association is committed to the individuals,
families, and friends who are coping with Alzheimer’s disease and related
diseases with one of the symptoms being dementia.
NOW THEREFORE, I, ROY D. BUOL, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA, ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL, STAFF AND CITIZENS OF DUBUQUE, DO HEREBY
PROCLAIM THE MONTH OF JULY 2010 AS
“MONARCH MOMENTS MONTH”
IN THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA.
