The application, staff report and related materials are attached for your review. Discussion Staff reviewed the lot layout of the submitted plat, noting that the lot split facilitates the Water Pollution Control Plant expansion project, and is in substantial compliance with City Standards. There were no public comments. The Zoning Advisory Commission discussed the request, and felt it was appropriate. Recommendation By a vote of 6 to 0, the Zoning Advisory Commission recommends that the City Council approve the request. A simple majority vote is needed for the City Council to approve the request. Attachments May 25, 2010 INTRODUCTION The submitted Final Plat of Inland Molasses Place No. 2 subdivides an existing parcel of land owned by Inland Molasses to facilitate the sale of Lot 2 to the City of Dubuque. The City of Dubuque is purchasing Lot 2 to facilitate the Water Pollution Control Plant expansion project. DISCUSSION The subject parcel is being subdivided into two lots — Lot 1 is the present location of Inland Molasses Company, while Lot 2 will be sold to the City of Dubuque. Both lots meet the City's requirements for lot area and lot frontage. Lot A is a 66 -foot easement for public roadway purposes and is the current location of Julien Dubuque Drive. Whereas, there has been filed with the City Clerk a Final Plat Inland Molasses Place No. 2 in the City of Dubuque, Iowa; and Whereas, said Final Plat has been examined by the Zoning Advisory Commission and had its approval endorsed thereon; and Whereas, said Final Plat has been examined by the City Council and they find that it conforms to the statues and ordinances relating to it. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA: Section 1.
