The City of Dubuque Zoning Advisory Commission has reviewed the above -cited
request. The application, staff report and related materials are attached for your review.
Discussion
Staff reviewed the submitted Plat of Survey, noting it will facilitate street and public utility
improvements in the Historic Millwork District.
There were no public comments.
The Zoning Advisory Commission discussed the request, and felt it was appropriate.
Recommendation
By a vote of 5 to 0, with one abstention, the Zoning Advisory Commission recommends
that the City Council approve the request.
A simple majority vote is needed for the City Council to approve the request.

INTRODUCTION
The submitted Plat of Survey of Center City Place #5 facilitates street improvements in
the Historic Millwork District.
DISCUSSION
The submitted Plat of Survey dedicates Lot A to the City of Dubuque for improvements
to E. 10 Street. In addition, Lot 1 is retained by the adjacent property owner for an
existing loading dock and entry way.
RECOMMENDATION
Planning staff recommends that the Plat of Survey of Center City Place No. 5 be
approved by Zoning Advisory Commission as it is in substantial compliance with the
City of Dubuque Subdivision Regulations.

RESOLUTION NO. 196-10
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLAT OF SURVEY OF CENTER CITY PLACE #5 IN THE
CITY OF DUBUQUE, IOWA.
Whereas, there has been filed with the City Clerk a Plat of Survey of Center City Place #5
in the City of Dubuque, Iowa, and;
Whereas, upon said. Plat of Survey appears streets Lot A, together with certain public
easements, which the owner, by said plat of survey, has dedicated to the public forever; and
Whereas, said Plat of Survey has been examined by the Zoning Advisory Commission
and had its approval endorsed thereon; and
Whereas, said Plat of Survey has been examined by the City Council and they find that it
conforms to the statutes and ordinances relating to it.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DUBUQUE, IOWA:
Section 1. That the dedication of Lot A, and easements as they appear upon said
Plat of Survey, be and the same are hereby accepted; and
Section 2. That the Plat of Survey of Center City Place #5 is hereby approved and
the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to endorse the approval of the City
of Dubuque, Iowa, upon said Plat of Survey.
Passed, approved and adopted this 21 day of June, 2010.
