National Mississippi River Museum, Aquarium Request to Lease LandJune 9, 2010

50 W. 13 St.
Dubuque, IA 52001
Dear Mayor Buol and Members of the Dubuque City Council:
The Dubuque County Historical Society requests lease of the land between the National
Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium and the new National River Center. This will be the
location for the Mississippi Plaza and an important connector for the two major anchors of our
campus. It is essential to the effective operations of our expanded museum and it also is
essential to our Vision Iowa grant for the Mississippi Plaza and visiting boat marine
We are very excited about our major expansion to the Museum & Aquarium. Developing the
Mississippi Plaza will be another tremendous addition to Dubuque's stunning riverfront. We
look forward to discussing this lease request with you at the next available opportunity.
Sincerely,
Jerry Enzler
