Commissioners Present: Rick Baumhover Janice Craddieth Hilary Dalton Amy Eudaley Commissioners Absent: Sam Wooden Staff Present: Alexis Steger Gina Hodgson Public Present: Amanda Hohmann -Dupont Jeff Lenhart Gail Weitz Margie White Tonya England Hollie Ohnesorge Ashley Noonan Certification of Minutes — May 11, 2021 Housing Commission Meeting Commissioner Amy Eudaley moved to approve the Minutes for the June 22, 2021 Housing Commission Meeting. Commissioner Jeff Lenhart seconded. Roll call. Seven (7) in favor. Motion passed. Oath of Office — Hilary Dalton Hilary Dalton read the Oath of Office. Oath of Office — Gail Weitz Gail Weitz read the Oath of Office. Oath of Office — Sam Wooden Sam Wooden was not present. Correspondence/Public Input None New Business a. Resignation of Michelle Becwar Gina Hodgson, Assisted Housing Supervisor, stated the resignation of Michelle Becwar was accepted. b. Resignation of Cynthia Washington Hodgson announced the resignation of Cynthia Washington was accepted. c. Appointment of Liaison to Long Range Planning Advisory Commission Hodgson explained a new appointment is needed for the Liaison to the Long Range Planning Advisory Commission due to Michelle Becwar's resignation. Commissioner Gail Weitz moved to appoint Amy Eudaley as the Liaison to Long Range Planning Advisory Commission. Commissioner Janice Craddieth seconded. Roll call. Seven (7) in favor. Motion passed. MINUTES FOR HOUSING COMMISSION MEETING d. Appointment of Liaison to Community Development Advisory Commission Hodgson stated the term ended for the Liaison to the Community Development Advisory Commission; therefore, a new appointment was needed for the position. Commissioner Eudaley moved to appoint Hilary Dalton as the Liaison to Long Range Planning Advisory Commission. Commissioner Weitz seconded. Roll call. Seven (7) in favor. Motion passed. Reports a. Continuum of Care Special Needs Assistance Program Amanda Hohmann -Dupont, former Regional Homeless Coordinator with East Central Develoment Corporation, explained the Continuum of Care Special Needs Assistance Program is currently serving 15 households. (One of the minors became an adult and a client had a child taken from the household.) She introduced the new Regional Homeless Coordinator, Ashley Noonan, of whom will be her replacement. (Hohmann -Dupont accepted a new role, Mobility and Outreach Specialist.) b. Community Development Advisory Commission Report Commissioner Hilary Dalton summarized the meetings held on August 14, 2021 and August 18, 2021 for the Community Development Advisory Commission (CDAC). She stated CDAC reviewed a grant application for Lincoln Elementary School. c. Rehab Report No Report d. Assisted Housing Waiting List Statistical Summary Alexis Steger, Department Director, reported Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has allowed the Department to continue with pulling applicants from the Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List. The Department plans to open the Waiting List each month for the remainder of the calendar year. e. Housing Choice Voucher Participant Statistical Summary Hollie Ohnesorge, Assisted Housing Coordinator, reported the Housing Choice Voucher program is currently serving 903 families. f. Denial/Termination Meeting Results Ohnesorge shared there were 3 proposed terminations for participants during the month of July. Information Sharing None Adjournment There being no further business to come before the Commission, Commissioner Lenhart moved to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Eudaley seconded. Motion passed by voice vote.
