RE: November 2nd City Council Elections
Enclosed please find an Abstract of votes for your records, and an Election Certificate for each mayor
and council person that was elected at the City Election on 11/2/2021. All elected officials will need to
take and subscribe to the Oath of Office by their term start in January. If someone fails to accept their
position in January, please notify me right -a -way, as there will be a vacancy for that office.
Also enclosed are copies of the open meeting laws that should be handed out to each candidate with
their certificate.

2021, as shown by the tally lists returned from the several election precincts.
City of Dubuque - Mayor
Brad Cavanagh Received Five Thousand Four Hundred and Four (5,404) votes
David Resnick Received Three Thousand Three Hundred and Seventy -Nine (3,379) votes
Scattering Received Two Hundred and Seventy -Eight (278) votes
Total Nine Thousand and Sixty -One (9,061) votes
We therefore declare :
Brad Cavanagh to be duly elected for the office of City of Dubuque - Mayor for the term of 4 years.
