> I read in the TH on Saturday about the proposal from ImOn Communications for fiber internet. I believe this is sorely
needed in Dubuque as I live on the South end of Dubuque and unfortunately have access to only one internet provider,
Mediacom, which is expensive and pricey. I also believe this to be a monopoly due to no other options, so I welcome
the additional service.
> My hope though is they will start the process of expansion in the two under served areas first, which is assuming
where I live, because these are the areas that suffer the most and are always done last. So instead of laying cable on the
west end or more populated areas of Dubuque, please work on the underserved or those with less options of service
first. I've contacted a couple of internet companies in Dubuque only to find out they don't service my address.

> My final comment is about price. Until 2020 when I purchased this property and moved moved into a home, I have
never spent over $50 for internet access a month, and it was was for good speed. I hope they also look at those who are
not just eligible for assistance to pay their internet bill but those who fall outside that margin but also struggle to afford
good internet. I currently have the most basic plan at my home as it is the only one I can afford and that price keeps
going up, but I can do nothing since there are no other providers in my neighborhood. Make sure the Internet deserts
are mapped in Dubuque, in fact make these publicly available
