Hearing on Appeal of Brian Kohn's Termination from the City of Dubuque
The hearing was called to order at 2:05 p.m. Chairperson Duehr swore in witnesses
Randy Peck, Bob Green, Marry Baumgartner, Ed Baker, Dan Sommers, Brian Kohn
and Tracy Kohn
Attorney C.J. May, Jr. was present to defend Mr. Kohn and Corporation Counsel was
present to represent the City of Dubuque.
Corporation Counsel Lindahl called Water Department Manager Bob Green, Water
Department Truck Driver Marty Baumgartner, Police Officer Ed Baker, and Personnel
Manager Randy Peck to testify on behalf of the City.
Attomey May called Water Department Service Worker and President of the Operating
Engineers Union Dan Sommers, Tracy Kohn and Bdan Kohn as witnesses.
After hearing the evidence presented and the receipt of exhibits from both parties,
Werlzberger moved to uphold the decision of the City in the matter of Bdan Kohn's
termination from employment with the City of Dubuque. Seconded by Kluesner. After
further discussion, the motion passed 3-0.
There being no further business, Kluesner moved to adjourn. Seconded by Wertzberger.
Unanimously approved and meeting adjourned at 5:14 p.m.
